Here they come!!!! All in person kids start this week!!!!
To Dan Olson for allowing me to observe your classroom!
-From Stephanie Kaye
🎉77% of our students met their goal of at least 30 minutes of i-Ready instruction time last week!
🎉92% of our students have completed the diagnostic!
*The diagnostic window will close on February 2nd. Please let Stephanie or Erica know if you have students who might need more time.
*The diagnostic does not count as time on task so i-Ready data will continue to be skewed through February 2nd.
*Follow up with students as they complete the diagnostic to verify that they are on a learning path that is just right for them.
Our Goal:
85% of students engage for at least 30 minutes.
WAY TO GO...
- 5th grade had 100% of their students complete a lesson on i-Ready!
- 85% of Stanton students had 30+ minutes of i-Ready this week!
Onsite COVID Testing--NEW!
We have now received our Binex screening tests at both sites!!! Any adult with symptoms can now be given a quick test to see if you screen as COVID+. Some facts about this:
*This is NOT required, but we'd sure appreciate having the information to help us determine next steps. Sharon and Mark will offer you a test if you report symptoms.
*A negative Binex test will NOT clear you to stay, and you'll still have to head home. I'd also hope you would get a regular test, as this quick test is NOT a rapid antigen or PCR test to make an official diagnosis.
*We will ONLY be giving these screeners to adults--we are not approved to give them to students with symptoms. I will continue to ask families to follow all protocols.
Let me know if you have any questions!
The teacher/paraprofessional will fill out the top part with student info and symptoms while Sharon/Mark check temperature and assess the student.
Updated dashboard data 1/31/21:

🧩️Covid Friendly Team Building Ideas (remote & onsite)🧩️
Guess My Word: Send one student a secret word through Go Guardian (on a notecard if in person). The student with the word will give the other students clues about the word. The person who guesses the word goes next. This is also a great vocabulary review game!
Detective: Choose one person as the detective. They mute and close their eyes and count to 30. Choose another person as a leader. They begin a motion (i.e. tapping on head) and the rest of the kids follow along. Detective unmutes and observes to try to figure out who the leader is. This can work in the same way onsite but the detective would observe the class from their seat.
Stanton Staff - get ready for some exciting news on Wednesday during CTT!
Don’t forget Friday, 3/19 is our next PBIS Celebration Day!
We are always taking donations for the PBIS store. There is a box in the storage closet for donations, or bring any items down to Stephanie and/or Grant!
COVID-19 SAFETY PROCEDURES
Safety Protocols
*If you have any COVID-10 like symptoms at all or are not feeling well, please DO NOT
come onsite.
If coming onsite:
*You must continue to self-certify using Skyward.
*All staff must enter through the main entrance at each site.
*You must sign in using the sign in sheet, mark that you self-certified, and take and record your temperature. IF YOU HAVE A FEVER ABOVE 100.4 YOU ARE ASKED TO LEAVE IMMEDIATELY AND REACH OUT TO YOUR PRINCIPAL AND HEATHER.
*Once Sharon/Marc are onsite, they will review the sign in sheet and cross check with the
self-certification report. If anyone is NOT cleared or did NOT self-certify, they will meet with them to ensure they are safe to be onsite. If not, they'll refer that employee to Heather.
*If you arrive after Sharon/Marc are onsite, please will report to the Health Office to check in so we know you have self-certified. Your temperature will also be taken and recorded. Employees will know to do this because, when Sharon/Marc arrive, they will pick up the sign
in log and put out a sign that says "Please come to the Health Office to check in".
When you come onsite, you can work in your classroom/workspace. Please feel free to use it as your own. I'd just ask that you work in that space as much as possible and not travel out much. You can, of course you can use the bathroom, lounge, copiers, etc. as needed. Please do not congregate in the hallways or in other spaces. We simply want to keep you safe.
If you are alone in your workspace and the door is closed, you may remove your mask. If anyone enters that space, everyone in the space MUST wear a mask and stay 6 ft apart at all times.
When you DO leave your room, I'd ask that you strictly follow the 4 W's to help keep yourself and others around you safe:
1. Wash your hands.
2. Wear your mask.
3. Watch your space.
4. Wait your turn.
If you are concerned that you have COVID-19 or have been exposed to COVID-19 and
have been
or are scheduled to be onsite, please let your principal, and/or me know
immediately so we can partner with you for your safety and for the safety of others.
You can trust that we will keep all this information confidential, balancing staff privacy and
system safety needs.
All staff MUST wear masks AT ALL TIMES
when onsite and in public spaces.
If you are working in an office/classroom
with the door closed, you may remove your
mask. It must be worn when anyone enters
that space with you.

TREAT YO SELF TO SELF CARE
I'm going to use the book 180 Days of Self-Care for Busy Educators by my friend Tina
Boogren to share weekly nuggets of self-care ideas for all of us.
Week 22--Adventure
Our days can sure get monotonous...especially now! While routines are good for us, it's also
really good to make time for adventure.
This week's invitation: Break up the monotony.
Ideas:
*Make time--Choose the day, half day, hour or other time and block it out on your
calendar.
*Choose your adventure--Do you want to explore a new park? Start a new book? Make a list
of adventures (big or small) that sound good to you.
*Pick your company--Decide if you want to adventure alone or with someone else.
*Do your homework--Do your research BEFORE your designated time. Know your route, the
hours of operation, forecast, etc.
*Commit--Go all in! Give yourself permission to engage in your adventure without distractions.
*Remember--Take one photo to record your adventure. Start an album to capture your
adventures...and make this a healhty habit!
