 May Focus--Purpose Routines
This Week's Wellness Invitation: Consider Your Desires as an Educator
Consider your deepest desires as an educator. Agan, using alllllll your mindfulness routines, pause and reflect. What is it you want as an educator? Allow any sensations, images, feelings, or thoughts to come to. What do you aspire to????

Kudos to Jennifer Sutschek.  I received a message from a driver on the road.
"I'm just calling because I'm driving on the road right now. One of your drivers is doing really good, they are very safe and very cautious and the number for the car is 11.  It's about 3:05 in the afternoon and I just wanted to leave some good feedback for this driver."

Kudos to Alexis Nelson, Bus 7 for helping me change part of a route.  The route sheet had directional information that was incorrect and has been updated.  Thanks for going over it with me!

Kudos to all of Transportation, Lotus Paras, and office staff that help us get the students to school and home every day!  It's a hard job with lots of responsibility and I just want to acknowledge all you do!  Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!

Request

Our health offices have been busier than ever recently, so much so that the number of students visiting the office is impacting the level of care and attention our staff is able to give students.

Please make sure a student issue requires a health office visit before you send them. All classrooms should have a stash of bandaids for small cuts. If you need more, please contact the office and we can put some in your mailbox. If you're unsure if a student needs to come to the office, please call before sending kids down. See below for a quick guide help you BE sure of when to send a student down...

District 114 CARES

At District 114 Fox Lake, the well-being of our students and families is our top priority. Understanding the critical role mental health plays in student success, we have launched District 114 CARES—a comprehensive initiative aimed at improving access to quality mental health services across our community.

What is District 114 CARES?

District 114 CARES stands for Community, Advocacy, Resilience, Engagement, and Support. This program is specifically designed to provide essential mental health resources and support to students and families, with a focus on those facing financial challenges.

Our mission is to ensure that every student has the tools they need to thrive—both emotionally and academically. By addressing barriers to care, we aim to empower students to reach their full potential in and out of the classroom.

Our Commitment

Through District 114 CARES, we reaffirm our dedication to fostering a supportive, resilient community where every student has equitable access to the resources and support they need to succeed.
