News from the Business Office

Friday, March 30
Just a reminder that, per my earlier memo, Friday, March 30 is a paid holiday indicated for Good Friday. The buildings will be closed, and all 12 month staff are OFF!

As you can probably tell, I LOVE infographics! When we think about social emotional learning (SEL), it's the ultimate goal to not just adopt a curriculum material, but also to embed SEL into learning every single day. Here's an awesome infographic with quick ways for ALL of us to help grow our students' SEL skills...

Speech and Language Tips from Abbey

Check out this week's tips from Abbey! She came up with the fabulous idea of putting each week's ideas on a slide, then adding the slides so all the info is in one place...you can go back and look at any time!

Thanks to our amazing tech team (aka Mike and David), Google Chat/Hangouts is now open for staff use. Please note that students cannot access this feature. I LOVE Google Chat--it's a huge timesaver.

Questions for thought as you read...

Found this today in a Facebook post. While it's about ways to say "Be careful" differently, I like these sentence/question starters to help our kids take risks and think strategically.

Questions:
How do these stems connect to the mathematical standards of practice?
What's one way you could ASK instead of TELL?

March 20--Board of Education Meeting--Final 18-19 calendar approval

April 3--D114 PTA night at Culver's--please consider donating an hour of time to help bump up the proceeds to the district! THANK YOU!

Thanks for each and every thing you do every day for our students. No matter what role you play, you make a difference!
