Thank you to Cindy Carlino for coordinating the Winter AIMS Sweep Team!
and
A huge thank you to the Lotus Staff for warmly welcoming the students back to school after the long break! The students genuinely seemed HAPPY and EXCITED to be back which is attributed to the many connections staff members have made with them.

News from the Business Office
Insurance Rates...Again
Please find attached to the blog link email the full details of insurance rates. These will also be printed and posted in both staff lounges.
These errors from multiple layers of errors, but they are now corrected and accurate.
For staff who we owe money back to because of over-payment, we'll process imprest checks as part of the 2/12/18 payroll in order to square everything up. Otherwise, you'll see your deductions change to reflect these adjustments.
If you see your deductions and have any questions, please see Becky or me.
Support Staff Contract Letters
Given the changes in rates, we are still working to ensure that each person's details are correct. I can assure you that we are reviewing every single detail and will meet with anyone for whom there are issues--or to address any questions that exist. I can also promise that, with the appropriate roll over of staff info this spring, we will be able to share this information immediately after open enrollment next year.

TRS Executive Director's Message:
Summary: While TRS will have enough money to pay obligations for the "foreseeable future," due to a reduction in the State's pension obligation in the new budget, the financial future of TRS remains "guarded."
Region Representative Apprentice Needed! We are still looking for a person interested in possibly filling Barb Brown's role as our region representative when her terms is up and she retires this spring. The Region Representative is responsible for attending monthly region meetings (typically in Libertyville), sharing any information from our local, and bringing information from the region back to our local. Additionally this person would serve as an EAFL executive board member. It would be great if an interested person could attend the next few meetings with Barb to ease into the position. If you might be interested, or just would like to attend a meeting or two to see what it's all about, please get in touch with Barb Brown or Melissa Williams for more information.
